Since updating drivers to the That part of UI is either greyed out, or there is only 1 option there: 4k. Go to Solution. Maybe something has corrupted in your driver install I would clean out the old stuff and start fresh.

Download and run DDU from wagnardsoft dot com from safe mode with Internet unplugged or wifi off. View solution in original post. I thought there is some new setting I am missing in the new drivers, but apparently the problem is more straightforward.

Did you click “advance displays setting” then “Display adapter properties for display” Then “List All Modes”. This may help you. Sign In Help.

How do I force a game to change resolution?

When i try to change the resolution to anything else, my screen does not go black for a second like cant change resolution in games used to when switching resolution. Desktop just resizes says it is at new resolution, but when i check on my tv, it is still in same native resolution.

This applies to cant change resolution in games or any other game i want to play, how to the screen size on cant change resolution in games change the resolution what so ever. After doing so, when i run any game, it will stay in that previously selected resolution regardless of selected resolution in game settings.

I still cant control my resolution in game. At this point i also noticed that my desktop resolution is different from active signal resolution under my advanced display settings. I initially thought this would be a display driver problem, i re-installed my windows twice on a freshly formatted hard drive. This thread is locked. Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. On my laptop, when cant change resolution in games change the resolution under display settings, lets say i change it to x from x native. Then when i go to advanced display settings, my desktop and active signal resolution is still saying x even tho i just changed it to x in the previous menu. Only difference now is when i run any game and adjust resolution in game, it will actually switch to it in game. This makes me think there must’ve been an update or something that keeps my active signal resolution native and just scales the desktop to chosen resolution.

Now this setting overrides cant change resolution in games TV for some reason and prevents it from adjusting resolution in game or by any other application.
